Sh.Maroshi Council is a decentralized local government body established under the Local Councils Act (Act No. 7/2010) to strengthen local governance and public participation in Sh.Maroshi. The council is responsible for community development, public services and administration. Includes coordination of Island development efforts, advice and facilitation of effective implementation of government policies and services throughout the Island. Council plays an important role as an intermediary between the people and the government.
