Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Safely navigate and operate the vessel according to maritime laws and regulations, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of fuel.
  2. Fuel Transfer Management: Oversee the transfer of fuel from the bunkering vessel to other vessels or facilities, ensuring proper handling to prevent spills and contamination.
  3. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during fuel transfer operations, including the use of safety equipment and adherence to emergency procedures.
  4. Maintenance and Inspection: Regularly inspect the vessel's equipment and systems, such as fuel pumps and hoses, to ensure they are in good working order and schedule maintenance as needed.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of fuel deliveries, including quantities, times, and any incidents that occur during operations.
  6. Crew Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the crew, providing training and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  7. Communication: Maintain clear communication with port authorities, customers, and other vessels to coordinate fuel deliveries and adhere to schedules.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the vessel complies with all applicable maritime regulations, including those related to environmental protection, fuel quality, and safety.
  9. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as spills or mechanical failures, and coordinate with emergency response teams as necessary.
  10. Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about the fuel delivery process.
