Job Description

General Requirements

  • Board Certified / Unencumbered License or registration from home country
  • Minimum Post Graduate Specialist Degree
    Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities
  • Additional Fellowship/ Boards preferred
  • Current BLS/ ACLS / PALS ATLS certification
  • Adaptable and able to work in a multicultural team
  • Flexible and able to manage stress
  • Must have worked in a hospital with no less than 150 bed capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Experience in management of patients with life threatening illnesses and injuries in a hospital emergency room or urgent care facilities

 

Job Specification

  • Assess patients that enter the emergency room immediately and oversee emergency patient’s recovery.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to monitor the patient’s condition.
  • Request the appropriate medical tests and follow a treatment plan
  • Develop effective patient care plans.
  • Refer patients to the appropriate specialists.
  • Ensure that patients are stable before transferring them to the proper department for further evaluation.
  • Provide instructions for discharge and any relevant paperwork.
  • Maintain the patient’s medical records.
  • Provide and ensure that the best patient care is given through emergency case management, protocol implementation and ensuring compliance with medical ethics
  • Maintain good communication and collaboration with other departments within and outside the hospital, including the referral system
  • Coordinate with different ER departments to ensure patients receive the necessary treatment
  • Data collection, analysis, monitoring and reporting to improve the quality of care
  • Promote early and appropriate response to patients according to triage times
