Job Description

General Requirements

• Certification as CSSD Technician by IAHCSMM &/or CBSPD &/or equivalent Diploma in Sterilisation Technician
• Basic degree in any related field is an advantage
• Minimum 4 years of experience in CSSD or related field
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Job Specification

• Knowledge: Instrument care, infection control, sterilization technology, practical autoclave and sterilizers.
• Skills required: Positive, optimistic attitude, flexible, calm within workplace when under pressure.
• Leadership: Accountable for self and team, taking responsibility and ability to guide and direct others to achieve CSSD goals.
• Communication and Management: Teamwork skills with effective communication and interpersonal skills and positive approach to team members. Proven ability to work within a team.
• Operational Management: Proven technical skills, instrument knowledge and sterilizing techniques, meeting unit and hospital needs timeously and under pressure.
• Record Keeping: Ability to pay attention to detail and keep accurate records.
• Department Development: Take responsibility for guiding required strategies, implementation of policy and processes, make positive improvements and outcomes.
