Job Description

General Requirements

  • Diploma or B.Sc. in Clinical Neurophysiology Technology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Registered at a licensing authority
  • Good English communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

 

Job Specification

  • Conduct tests or studies such as electroencephalography (EEG), video EEG monitoring for long Hours, polysomnography (PSG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), evoked potential (Eps), electromyography (EMG), and intraoperative monitoring (IOM)
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, or repair equipment and correct malfunctions as needed
  • Cleans and maintains equipment (EEG machine and accessories)
  • Performs polysomnogram and monitors and changes the patient’s body position or environment as needed to obtain the required sleep and/or wake data
  • Performs positive airway pressure titration studies and scores polysomnographic studies
  • Measure visual, auditory, or somatosensory evoked potentials (EPs) to determine responses to stimuli
  • Indicate artifacts or interferences derived from sources outside of the brain, such as poor electrode contact or patient movement, on Electroneurodiagnostic recordings
  • Submit reports to physicians summarizing test results
  • Assist in training technicians, medical students, residents or other staff members
  • Provide support to the Diagnostics Team as a whole
