Are you a seasoned boatbuilding professional ready to take charge of cutting-edge projects in one of the world’s most stunning destinations? WaveCraft, a rapidly growing fiberglass boatbuilding factory in the Maldives, is seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead its production operations. This is your chance to combine your expertise with an island lifestyle like no other!

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Lead Innovation: Drive the production of world-class FRP boats in a modern facility.
  • Island Living: Work in the Maldives – turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and a vibrant marine culture.
  • Career Growth: Be part of a fast-growing company with long-term opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end production: lamination, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and finishing.
  • Interpret technical drawings and collaborate with naval architects/designers.
  • Prepare and manage production schedules to deliver projects on time.
  • Supervise and mentor multi-skilled teams: laminators, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, and painters.
  • Ensure top-notch quality standards and safe working practices.
  • Coordinate installation of engines, shafts, props, electrical systems, and final fit-out.
  • Train and develop local talent to boost productivity and skill levels.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in FRP/composite boatbuilding or shipyard operations.
  • Hands-on expertise in hull & deck lamination, structural components, and marine finishing.
  • Experience installing engines, shafts, propellers, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read GA drawings, structural plans, and technical schematics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English and ready to relocate to Thimarafushi Island.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary (based on experience).
  • Accommodation, meals/allowance, and work visa provided.
  • Annual return ticket.
  • A chance to live and work in a world-class marine destination while building a legacy in craftsmanship.
