RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

1. Executing all processes related to payables and payments.
2. Preparing and processing vendor invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
3. Coordinate with the internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for payment.
4. Ensure adherence to payment terms and resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors.
5. Cross-checking vendor invoices against payables to ensure they are correctly entered/posted into the proper ledger accounts and the Accounting System.
6. Prepare and review accounts payable reports and analysis as required.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system.
8. Conduct periodic vendor statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts.
9. Ensuring that all payables and payments are made in a timely manner according to FDC’s policies and procedures.
10. Assist in internal and external audit related to accounts payable.
11. Ensure compliance with tax rulings, regulations, and laws in making payments.
12. Ensuring that all documentation is fulfilled prior to making payments.
13. Preparation and filing of payables and payments, and maintenance of all relevant information/documents in both digital and physical form (where appropriate), in accordance with FDC’s policies and procedures.
14. Maintain accuracy of accounts payable journal and ledger.
15. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

REQUIREMENTS

1. MQA level 7 or 8 qualification in Accounting / Finance or any other relevant field with at least 1 year of overall experience in relevant

OR.

1. MQA level 5 or 6 qualification in Accounting/Finance or any other relevant field with minimum 3 years overall experience in relevant

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

1. Should be able to communicate fluently in Dhivehi and English
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, will be an added
3. Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP systems such as Business Central and Quick Books will be an added advantage.
