Minimum Qualification & Experience:

 

• GCE Ordinary Level with a pass in 2 subjects. 
• Successfully completed Leading Fireman Course
• Maldives Driving License (Category: B1 & CO).
• At least three (3) years as an aerodrome Firefighter in a Category 5 airport or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Selection Procedures:

* Eligible applicants will be assessed by a selection board to determine their Interview & suitability for the position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to all airport emergencies including all accidents/incidents/fires and assist in managing situations as needed.
• Assign Firefighters their seating position on ARFF Vehicles and vessels.
• Supervise all staff under your command.
• Maintain all equipment and apparatus serviceable and state of readiness.
• Inspect/conduct performance tests of all apparatus and equipment under your command.
• Participate in drill lectures, fire exercises, and physical training.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of fire station and fire equipment.
• Inspect, test, and report on fire safety equipment under ARFF.
• Drive and operate ARFF Vehicle / Vessel as ARFF sops.
• Perform Watch Room Duty.
• Maintain the state of alertness.
• Be familiar with and follow ARFF Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure employees maintain their personnel protective equipment.
• Enforce ARFF rules and regulations and take immediate corrective action against all personnel violating ARFF rules and regulations.
• Shall be medically and physically fit as per ARFF Medical/physical Requirement (refer SOP).
• Obey all lawful command by a higher-ranking official(s)
