ވަޒީފާގެ ތަފްސީލް

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Maldivian for the post of Legal Officer at Alia Construction (Pvt) Ltd. The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing in-house legal support, ensuring compliance, managing risks, drafting/reviewing contracts, handling litigation, researching legal issues, and preparing legal opinions, often acting as a liaison with external counsel.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, accurate and timely advice to company departments on legal matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, contracts, leases, and agreements
• Ensure adherence to local, national, and industry-specific laws, monitoring changes and advising on impact
• Manage legal disputes, gather evidence, coordinate with external lawyers, and represent the organization
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential legal risks to the organization
• Other works that may be necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Shari’ah & Law.
• Licensed to Practice Law in the Republic of Maldives
• Fluent in oral and written English and Dhivehi
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and remain available to address urgent matters as required
• Computer literate and well-versed in MS Office

Working Hours

Saturday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
