Job Description

Location: Maldives (Gulf Craft Maldives)
Reporting to: Production Manager

Role Overview

Gulf Craft Maldives is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of marine engines, including both inboard and outboard systems.

This role is responsible for leading the mechanical team on the ground, ensuring all technical work is executed to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities, supporting both operational excellence and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Engine Installation & Technical Operations

• Supervise installation of inboard and outboard marine engines
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
• Inspect and test engines post-installation to ensure optimal performance

Maintenance & Repairs

• Oversee routine servicing and preventive maintenance of marine engines
• Diagnose mechanical and technical faults and ensure timely repairs
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and repair activities

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team
• Assign daily tasks and monitor work progress and quality
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards

Training & Development

• Train and mentor junior technicians and mechanics
• Provide hands-on guidance during complex installations and repairs
• Assist in developing technical skills within the team

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with operations and project teams for engine-related work
• Ensure timely completion of jobs within deadlines
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers when required

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices
• Promote a safe working environment at all times
• Conduct routine safety checks and risk assessments

Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of experience in marine engine installation, maintenance, or repair
• Strong experience with inboard and outboard engines
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Based in the Maldives or willing to relocate
