Farudhun Media is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced News Editor to join our team! If you have a passion for delivering impactful stories, exceptional editorial skills, and leadership qualities, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Roles and responsibilities:

• Edit News: Review and refine articles submitted by journalists, ensuring they meet editorial standards for accuracy, grammar, and style. Approve articles for publishing across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
• News Writing (Dhivehi & English): Research and produce accurate, compelling news stories for various platforms.
• Story Development: Generate ideas, follow leads, and conduct interviews to create in-depth and engaging reports.
• Shift Work: Be flexible with work schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  
  

  Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in journalism or editorial roles.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills in Dhivehi.
  • Strong news judgment and a knack for uncovering impactful stories.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, team-oriented individual with leadership capabilities.
