Job Description

• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
• Negotiate with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to handle inadequacies timely.
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc., and give them guidance when needed.
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE

• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Responsible and meticulous with a good working attitude and sense of teamwork.
• Possess an ethical mind, positive attitude, and self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of AutoCAD software and architectural drawings.
• Candidates should be able to prepare and evaluate BOQs required for the project without supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the related field will be an added advantage.
