General Requirements

  • At least 2 years of proven experience as security officer
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit to endure long working hours
  • Ability to operate security related and general office equipment
  • Working knowledge of public safety, security operations, and procedures
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

 

Job Specification

  • Perform security, fire, light checks by patrolling and observing premises, both interior and exterior of assigned facility, in order to recognize hazards, as or before they occur
  • Inspect area of duty for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and takes corrective action when unusual occurrence or circumstance occurs
  • Ensure that all issues/incidents are logged in the system
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times, professionalism, and consistent high standards of care ensuring the security of all personnel and guests
  • Comply with departmental quality management & patient safety initiatives (Quality Environment Safety & Health Management Systems), hospital accreditation, patient safety goals, quality indicators, quality improvement, internal audits.
  • Help develop a culture of high quality, safety, cost effective, and efficacy of patient care
