TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR)

 

Post:                               Senior Marketing and PR Officer

Key Tasks, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:  

  • Plan, develop, and implement public relations (PR) strategies that align with the corporation’s objectives
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local media outlets and key spokespeople.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage to formulate effective advertising and marketing strategies targeting potential clients.
  • Prepare program related documents or updates including profiles, success stories and fact sheets.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising initiatives.
  • Maintain and update content on the Corporation’s official website. • Manage and engage audiences through social media platforms by regularly updating content and responding to inquiries.
  • Liaise with media representatives, individuals, and organizations to address inquiries and promote a positive corporate image.
  • Write and edit speeches, articles, press releases, and official reports, such as the annual report
  • Organize and coordinate events such as press conferences, promotional campaigns, and corporate events.
  • Foster community relations through active involvement in local initiatives and outreach programs.
  • Conduct market research and analyze PR policies to develop content that positively influences public perception.
  • Manage the public relations aspect during potential crises, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Design and develop visual content and graphics in accordance with corporate branding and communication needs

 

Requirements:

  • MQA level 7 qualification in related fields (Marketing /Communication /PR/ Media etc.) with a minimum of 1 year experience.

OR,

  • MQA level 5 or 6 qualifications in related fields (Marketing /Communication PR/ Media etc.) with 5-years work experience in related fields

 

Other Competencies required: 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including the processing of word documents, spreadsheets & databases.
  • Familiarity with trade, economic development, and development of the private sector in the Maldives
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry would be an added advantage. 
  • Skills in Photoshop or graphic design along with certification are an added advantage

Remuneration Package:

  • Gross pay is between MVR 20,000- MVR 21,150 depending on the qualification and Experience.

Working Hours:

  • The selected applicant will be required to work from 0800 to 1600 on weekdays.
