MVR 10,000 - MVR 12,000

Job Description

A draftsman is a skilled professional who draws plans for buildings and machines. He will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, and should be comfortable working at an adjustable time table as well as a computer terminal. Usually work at our offices, but will at times need to fulfill travel requirements and work on-site.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Complete knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, and Autodesk.
• Proven work experience in the Construction industry as an Architectural Draftsman, Architectural Drafter, or a similar role.
• Interest in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience and familiarity with various architectural codes, specifications, and designs.
• Understanding of the industry standards and safety regulations.
• Excellent drafting and mechanical and mathematical skills. Having a keen eye for detail.
• Good time management, multitasking abilities, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
• Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
• Willingness to travel to different locations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand the building specifications, sites, and codes.
• Refer to the architectural sketches and specifications for creating blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ensure that the technical drawings have correct measurements, codes, and calculations. Use CAD software to create technical drawings and hand them over to the Construction Manager and Construction Engineer.
• Use various drafting techniques for charts, drawings, and other technical records.
• Calculate dimensions and perform measurements by visiting construction sites as and when needed.
• Ensure to adhere to industry standards and safety regulations at all times.
• Keep up with the latest trends, developments, and technologies in architectural design.
