Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customs Clearance Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for tasks associated with customs clearance, ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods. Key responsibilities include maintaining and drafting all relevant paperwork, coordinating with Customs, all relevant authorities and agents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all necessary customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading etc.
• Communicate effectively with customs and other relevant government and private agencies for seamless clearance of goods.
• Coordinate with customs officials to facilitate the smooth clearance of shipments.
• Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and ensure compliance.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders involved in the clearance process.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to customs documentation.
• Resolve any issues that may arise during the clearance process.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to the import goods, including all customs documentation, communication and payment records.
• Negotiate with vendors to manage the packaging of materials and arrange appropriate transportation.
• Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and adherence to relevant guidelines.
• Identify damages and discrepancies when an order is received and resolve the situation accordingly.
• Update the status of purchase orders from the summary report on a daily basis.
