Job Description:

The Dispatch Operator at the Taxi Center is responsible for managing customer ride requests and coordinating vehicle dispatch during night and midnight shifts. This role involves receiving ride requests, assigning available taxis, monitoring vehicle movements, and ensuring prompt service delivery. The Dispatch Operator must maintain clear communication with drivers, provide real-time updates, and ensure smooth operations during late hours to enhance customer satisfaction. Dispatch Operator must be available to work night and midnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and log customer ride requests via phone, app, or other communication channels.
• Assign available taxis to requested locations based on availability.
• Monitor vehicle movements and trip status using in-house portals
• Maintain real-time communication with drivers to provide updates, directions, and necessary instructions.
• Ensure timely pickups and efficient route planning to optimize service quality.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or ride-related issues professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with taxi drivers to manage peak hours, delays, or unexpected situations.
• Keep accurate records of dispatch activities, including ride logs and driver availability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local transportation regulations.
• Assist in operational improvements to enhance efficiency and service reliability.

Job Requirements:

• Grade 10 level, additional training in dispatch or transportation is a plus.
• Previous experience in taxi dispatch, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple ride requests efficiently.
• Excellent verbal communication and coordination skills in both Dhivehi & English
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be available to work night and midnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Familiarity with local roads, traffic conditions, and service areas is an advantage.
