Job Description

CDE Consulting is looking for Environmental Research Assistants and Field Research Officers.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake environmental sampling and monitoring activities under supervision, including
collection of water, soil, marine, waste, and other environmental samples.- Receive, verify, label, process, and store environmental samples and monitoring materials in
accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and chain-of-custody
requirements.
-Record, organise, and maintain accurate field and laboratory data using approved data
sheets and digital databases, ensuring completeness and accuracy of entries.
-Prepare, organise, clean, and maintain field and laboratory equipment, sampling kits, and
materials before and after site visits.
- Support site mobilisation, sample transport, and basic logistical coordination during island
travel and fieldwork.
- Maintain an organised, safe, and compliant working environment in both field and laboratory
settings.
-Follow all health, safety, quality assurance, and supervision instructions during field and
processing activities.

Depending on the position the job description may varr during the contract period.

 

Education
-Critical and analytical science skills
-Excellent language skills in English and Dhivehi
- Computer literate
- No prior experience required

- Strong attention to detail
- Willing to learn and follow technical procedures

-Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Team-oriented and respectful
- Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor environments
