General Requirements

• Sc. Nursing
• Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) by Certification Board of Infection control and Epidemiology
• Minimum of 5 years of infection control experience
• Registered Nurse at a licensing authority
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

 

Job Specification

• Provide leadership of key hospital initiatives to prevent and control healthcare associate infections
• Manage the infection prevention daily operations
• Coordinate infection prevention staff e.g. Link nurses
• Coordinate infection control in all clinical departments in the hospital and ambulatory settings
• Participate in employee education
• Investigate and manage employee exposure to communicable disease and any occupational related incidences
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies
