Job Title: Journalist

Job Overview:
Farudhun Media is looking for a passionate and talented Journalist to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be adept at uncovering stories, producing engaging content, and contributing to the fast-paced world of news and media.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• News Writing (Dhivehi & English): Research and write accurate, compelling news reports for print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
• Story Development: Generate story ideas, follow leads, and conduct interviews to deliver in-depth reporting.
• Event Coverage: Attend press conferences, events, and other assignments, providing timely and thorough reporting.
• Shift Work: Be flexible with shift schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills in Dhivehi (proficiency in English is an added advantage).
• Knowledge of journalism, news writing, or storytelling techniques.
• Passion for uncovering and sharing impactful stories.
• Prior experience in journalism or broadcasting is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in dynamic environments.
