Job Description

Key responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality photography and videography for news, features, interviews, and social media content, as well as our print publications. 
• Create compelling graphics, illustrations, and visual layouts for stories, campaigns, and online publishing.
• Pitch, plan, and lead original online campaigns around social issues relevant to the Maldivian community.
• Proactively identify timely topics and take initiative to contact individuals or communities for interviews.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to tell stories visually and effectively across platforms.
• Maintain an organised archive of multimedia assets and ensure proper attribution. 
• Stay current with trends in visual storytelling, digital media tools, and platform algorithms.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field. (Training will be given)
