Job Description

General Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an acute-care hospital
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
• Excellent in interpersonal and communication skills

 

Job Specification

• Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients following a treatment plan
• Develop physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills
• Maintain professionalism and consistent high standards of care and treatment towards faster recovery
• Select and adapt appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
• Plan and prioritize patient treatment schedules adequately, especially during high census periods
• Explore alternative treatment modalities specified by the doctors
• Maintain records of treatment done, achieved results and progress into Guests progress notes
• Liaise with doctors on Guests progress
• Supply assistive devices to Guests with proper explanation of the need and correct way of using the equipment
