Job Description

General Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital
• Registered at a licensing authority
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Job Specification

• Ensure availability of consumables and implants
• Verification and post charging of medical consumables and implants
• Control inventory levels according to consumption
• Periodic stock check
• Establish method of storage of materials
• Expiry and non-moving material management
• Ensure correct dispensing of medication, consumables and implants with clear instructions and correct billing
• Counsel technicians and nursing staff on the use of medications, storage and advise on managing adverse drug reactions
• Act as a liaison with surgeon and anesthetics concerning medicine orders, consumables and pharmaceutical details, adverse drug reactions and medication errors
