Post: Portfolio Analyst

Department: Credit Department – Product, Portfolio & Research Unit
Reporting to: Deputy Manager – Product, Portfolio & Research Unit
Key tasks, responsibilities, and deliverables:
• Key tasks and responsibilities of the post include assisting in overall functions of
portfolio and research unit.
• To capture and maintain detailed databases of portfolio, including approved facilities,
business activities, and shareholding details.
• Assist in analyzing the performance of the current product portfolio by evaluating
products against the market trends and identifying the effect of them on the current
product portfolio.
• Conduct island surveys to study the changes and developments and disseminate
information to improve credit undertaking of the corporation.
• Assist in formulating new products based on third-party projects and collaborating
with other departments to implement the product.
• Assist in managing third party collaborative projects and coordinate with all the
relevant project stakeholders effectively throughout the project life cycle.
• Attend to scheduled and ad hoc reporting requirements of both internal and external
requests.
• Communicating portfolio updates with governing bodies and responding to their
inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Conducting research on a continuous basis on major industries and market
fluctuation and using external data to develop benchmarks for comparing the
performance and capacity of SME businesses.
• Liaison with other departments to perform research for new and ad hoc projects and
provide portfolio-related data.
• Liaison with other departments for the achievement of common goals of the
Corporation.
• Provide support on ad hoc requests as required by the Management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• MQA level 5 or 6 qualifications of Business/ Economics /Finance/Banking with
Minimum 02 years of experience in relevant field.
Other Competencies required:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to
adapt to change.
• In-depth knowledge of the local business environment and supply chain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills including the processing of word documents, spreadsheets,
and databases.
• Familiarity with trade, economic development, and development of the private sector
in the Maldives.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry would be an added
advantage.
Remuneration package:
• Gross pay between MVR 15,500 – MVR 16,400 depending on the Qualification and
Experience.

Working Hours:
• The selected applicant will be required to work from 0800 to 1600 on weekdays.
