Job Description
  • Assessing, diagnosing, screening to identify the speech, language and communication difficulty or disorder
  • Devise and deliver a suitable Treatment Program, working on a one-to-one basis or in groups, to enable each of the kids to improve as much as possible
  • Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required
  • Works on developing confidence, self-esteem and social skills to help achieve their maximum potential
  • Knowing when to use voice variation
  • Patience; as progress may be slow - involving repetitive exercises to aid kids who have problems memorizing, processing, and retaining information
    Qualities such as empathy, assertiveness, tact, a sense of humor, physical and mental stamina
    Provide timely and practical advice to parents and guardians and provide the knowledge and skills to them to assist in maximizing a child’s development at home.
  • Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress
  • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field by attending conferences, conducting research, and expanding professional and academic networks.
