Responsibilities:

On board representative of the company • To command any LCT/TUG independently as per the guidelines given by seniors • Conduct of the vessel & Management of personnel • Ensuring of the safety and security of crew, vessel and cargo at all times. • Observance of applicable rules and regulations of TAM • Maintenance of discipline on board including the observance of the Drug and Alcohol Policy • Regular performance of drills and training • Optimizing the quality of services • Emergency management • Communication. Well conversant with international radio telephony, its procedures and distress signals in an emergency. • Requisition of provision, spares, stores • Ensuring the safe working practice on board • To Ensure the maintenance of the vessel's technical condition, keep ready at all times. • To provide towage assistance for vessels when required in an emergency • Maintain records and reports as required MTCC and National Laws. • To fully comprehend the importance of TUG/LCT, maintenance, reporting and responsibilities. • Coordinate with Technical teams and dry dock to carry out repairs and maintenance. • Report any accidents/incidents to the LCT reasoning with a written report. • Report any defects or breakdown of any navigational aids, deck equipment or engine machinery upon taking over and whenever it occurs.

Minimum Requirements:

• The necessary licenses for operating a Work boat as specified by the Transport Authority of Maldives. (Category C, D)
