Job Description

Position: System Administrator

Nationality: Maldivian

Salary and Allowances

Remuneration: MVR 15,000/- to MVR 20,000/-

We are seeking for candidates for VB Head office in Male'

Primary Responsibility:

• Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
• Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments.
• Performing routine audit of systems and software.
• Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
• Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords,etc.
• Answering technical queries and assisting users.
• Responsibility for security.
• Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
• Troubleshooting any reported problems.
• System performance tuning.
• Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.

Eligibility:

• First degree in IT related with 1 years of experience in enterprise IT

or

• Diploma in IT related with 3 years of experience in enterprise IT

Bonus:

• Some knowledge of installing, configuring, and maintaining server and storage based infrastructures.
• Some ability to troubleshoot server based issues.
• Some knowledge and ability to provide day to day support for data server/storage infrastructure supporting voice, data video conferencing, unified communications and collaboration systems and customers.
• Ability to assist in monitoring server/storage performance criteria and measurement methods.
• Some exposure to any combination of the following: Microsoft Operating Systems; Unix/Linux Operating Systems; Citrix; VMware; Exchange / Outlook; McAfee; Microsoft System Center Operation Manager; Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager; Microsoft System Service Manager; Active Directory; DNS; DHCP; TCP/IP; Tivoli Storage Manager.
