Job Description

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Video Journalist/Presenter to join our dynamic team ( Farudhun Media ). The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality video content, covering news stories, and presenting them in a professional and engaging manner. This role requires a creative storyteller who can work under tight deadlines and has a passion for delivering impactful content.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Presenting/Hosting Shows: Serve as an on-camera host or presenter for news segments and special programs, ensuring professional and engaging delivery.
2. Video Coverage and Reporting: Attend events, press conferences, and on-site locations to capture footage and provide real-time updates.
3. Voice Recording: Record voiceovers for news reports, features, and video content as needed.
4. Story Development: Pitch innovative ideas for video segments and feature stories, aligning with current trends and audience interests.
5. Shift Duties: Be flexible to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Fluent in Dhivehi.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Comfortable conducting interviews and engaging with the public.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in news writing (Dhivehi and English) will be considered an added advantage.
• Proven experience in journalism, broadcasting, or a related field will be considered an added advantage.

Minimum Experience:

Prior experience in journalism, video production, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Fresh candidates with a strong passion for storytelling are encouraged to apply.
