Job Description

General Requirements

  • Degree in Finance or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ background in relevant field with 3 years in a Supervisory role
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills & proficiency in English (written & verbal)
  • Local & Foreign Insurance knowledge

Job Specification

  • Oversee and assist to manage day-to-day operations of the Credit & Claims Department
  • Review, streamline processes and Implement required policies and procedures
  • Evaluate and manage Credit Applications and Credit Agreements
  • Track all Insurance arrangements
  • Review bills and payments received to appropriate guests, insurance companies and 3PP Accounts
  • Accounts maintenance, bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Assist in preparation and implementation of changes in the software’s as necessary
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivables. Report delinquent accounts to the relevant HOD’s and arranging weekly credit review meeting
  • Responsible for relationship building and management with the Debtors
  • Point of contact for Insurance Clients, Insurance Companies and internal Departments
  • Responsible to oversee, manage and mitigate any bad debts/ rejections
  • Responsible for keeping in continuous contact with the responsible parties involved as to payments due and the status of their accounts
  • Ensure timely claims submissions and in accordance with the payer requirements
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Prepare, Maintain, submit all relevant reports, and track Credit and Claims performance
  • Maintain proper audit records of Credit and Claims department functions
  • Manage performance and work tasks of the team
